👀Sneak Peak: Coin Flip between Treasure…and Trouble!

Today, we’re pulling back the curtain on something that’s been rattling around in my brain for a bit: Custom coins.

We are lucky enough to enjoy an inspiring, weighty metal coin from Timothy Von Ruedon. And well, we’d like to give a crack at designing one ourselves. 

My little goblin brain started clocking overtime on the many possibilities!

While I love a lot of what I came up with, I wanted to start with one: Treasure and Mimic!

This idea has been brewing in the back of my mind for a while now. Seeing its inked-out form starts to open up all sorts of possibilities.

I want to take this idea further and see what it takes to make it into a realized coin. We’re not done yet. There are lush details and textures that catch the light as you can see on this coin.

So it’s back to the drawing board. The design process is still a new area for us. There’s a lot to explore.

Perhaps down the road we can look into a larger project with these. We’re still on the hunt for a manufacturer to get that substantial feel we’re looking for. Keep an eye out, we might even do a pre-order on these!
