We’ve Been Working on Something Stellar… 🐉🪐

Hello everyone! It’s time! Finally. We are so excited to share this with you. 

This project has been a labor of love, and we’ve been quietly bubbling over with excitement to show it to you. So, without further ado, let us introduce:

The Celestial Dragonarium!

This is a collection of 9 stunning enamel pins featuring dragons inspired by the solar system’s planets. Yes, planets. Because why shouldn’t the cosmos have it’s own dragon guardians?

Mark your calendars: March 4th is the launch date! And because you are part of this wonderful community, we want to make sure you are the first to know.

But wait - There’s more! (Of course, there is.)

If you back the project within the first 48 hours, you’ll get a free Star Dragon pin as a thank you from us. Because you’re amazing, and we want you to have something shiny to show for it.

Oh, and did we mention that this project is part of the Oddities & Obscura collection on Backerkit. If you’re new to collections, here’s the gist: it’s a group of projects that work together to get funded. The more projects you back, the more goodies you unlock. It’s like a treasure hunt, but with Oddities, Obscura, and of course Dragons!

Now, you might be wondering, why planet dragons?

Well, it all started with the Sun Dragon. One of the first art prints I ever made was inspired by - wait for it - Zapdos. Yep, the Pokémon. But instead of lightning, I imagined him as the guardian of the sun. Then came his counterpart, the Moon Dragon, inspired by dreams and the night sky.

They were so much fun to create they became some of our first enamel pins!

Once we started, we couldn’t stop. Ryan and I joked about how Jupiter would be the chunkiest, most majestic dragon of them all, and suddenly, we were off to the races. Before we knew it, The Celestial Dragonarium was born!

This is just the beginning, though. In the coming newsletters, we’ll dive deeper into their creation process and the little details that make this project so special to us.
