✨Behind the Scenes: Adding Festival Spirit to our Pin Backboards!

We have quite a few enamel pins in the pipeline right now that we’re excited to show. The journey in designing and putting them together has been a lot of fun and we hope to show the work behind them soon. 

But while those cook, let’s talk about packaging. We needed a piece with some space on the top for a hook, while being elegant in complimenting our pin collections.

Like any piece, the design process starts with thumbnails to get a sense of the vibe and theme of fantasy naturalists. 

Using the silly doodle from the last newsletter I made these thumbnails and chose the one that fits best.

During the inking process, we noticed something was missing…

And during the coloring process, a small friend was added! All forests are chock full of friends!

With that design complete, we move to the simpler design for use with our larger pins. We didn’t want this to be too complex given that they already catch a lot of attention with their size. An art nouveau look was chosen for its decorative organic shapes.

 And of course, sketched and inked.

And a Mandala background during the coloring for good measure.

It’s small, but we aim to elevate the enamel pins while giving them a nice cozy late-afternoon vibe. Thanks for joining us in this process journey!
