🐉Origins Recap + Squiggles to Art Pieces!

Howdy everyone!

First off, a massive, flailing armed welcome to all those joining us after Origin’s Game Fair 2025! We’re so happy you are joining us. Whether you’re here for art, or the dragons, we’re thrilled to have you!

Speaking of Origins: IT WAS A BLAST. We laughed, we gamed, and inhaled about 400 percent of our body weight in convention center coffee. We live for the excitement at these shows. Meeting old and new friends, playing games, and all the wild inspiration helps fuel a lifetime of projects.

And now? We’re home, exhausted, but with enough creative energy buzzing around to brainstorm and dig into the many projects we have planned. It’s time to go back into our cave and hibernate. Enter: Art Goblin Mode.

Since getting back this week, I’ve embraced my inner gremlin and drew what came natural. Absolute nonsense. No pressure, no plans. From squiggle to masterpiece. It’s the equivalent to throwing spaghetti at the wall. Glorious Chaos!

 I don’t think very much when I make these squiggles, just random lines flowing everywhere.

Like looking at clouds, I stare at these lines until shapes emerge.

As soon as I see a direction, I take it! I continue to build out shapes and create creatures and details. Soon I have an inked piece!

Then I gather some markers and plan out some of the colors before laying it all down.

I did this a few times and created these pieces.

At Origins, so many of you gushed over the recent Mantis Dragon newsletter from a few weeks ago. It really brightened my day up. It’s easy to forget your art is being seen and has an impact in the world. So from the bottom of my goblin heart, Thank you!
