✨BTS: Returning to Origin’s Game Fair And Reimagining Our Space

Three weeks remain before Origins Game Fair! This tabletop game extravaganza is likened to that of a mini-Gen Con. It’s one that Ryan looks forward to each year. This was our first out-of-state show and still is one we look forward to each year.

This year we can be found at booth# 1838 in a 10x10 corner booth. This is our furthest east show and as such it puts a lot into consideration. It seems like every year we change up the display quite a bit. This year is no different. While I love purple and teal, these colors are going against the need for the “Fantasy Naturalist” vibe we’re looking for. We want to have “Campfires in a magical forest”.

This time I followed a suggestion of drawing out what we might want. Check out the down-to-earth sketch.

After looking at this and playing around with the colors (a lot), we’ve gotten a lot of ideas, like Pegboards.

These useful little boards were designed, modeled, and printed by Ryan. He put a lot of work into them! They break down and will fit into a suitcase! They should be perfect for displaying pins and holding up shelves for the crowds to engage with.

That doodle has inspired us to redo our pin backings, table clothes, table runners, and backdrop (again). I’m looking forward to sharing those with you guys as we finish them up and pack it all away for the show.
